There was a time when I was obsessed with my black & white film and with the darkroom. The abstraction of shooting in a grey scale afforded a certain kind of freedom I found hard to achieve with colour positive film.
I chose these pictures because they are some of my well known pictures, to those who know my work. They are from my travels via Coney Island through real Australian life and onto the Australian circus which is unlike anything I have been entertained by.
